Start your tour off by touching down in the Bandaranaike International Airport and be greeted by one of our representatives, waiting for you in the arrival lounge. All our reps are equipped and ready to help you with any requirements you may have. Once everything is finalized at the airport, a vehicle will be ready to take you to your pre-booked hotel in Negombo for check in. You have most of the rest of the day to yourself, however, later in the afternoon, we will have a tour of the city scheduled for you – be sure to take in some of Negombo’s breathtaking fusion of historic and modern sights.

After a relaxing day in Negombo, your journey around Sri Lanka commences with a two-day trip to the historical cities of Dambulla and Polonnaruwa. Located in the country’s renowned cultural triangle, Dambulla is home to one of Sri Lanka’s famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the lion rock of Sigiriya, which was a royal capital/fortress built in 477 A.D. by the legendary King Kassapa.
Your second destination, the ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa, is one of Sri Lanka’s medieval royal capitals, which was at its peak between the late 11th and 13th centuries. You also have the option of experiencing a wildlife safari through the Minneriya National Park, when you visit Polonnaruwa, where you will get to witness one of the world’s largest elephant enclosures (depending on the season). It is imperative that, while you are within the park premises, you do not exit the jeep, feed any animals, throw items, and use any type of flash while taking photographs. To cap off your second night, you will get to enjoy a candlelit dinner at your hotel, once you get back from checking out the sights.

The fourth day of your visit kicks off with a visit to the historic city of Kandy – a renowned World Heritage site and the seat of the Temple of Lord Buddha’s Tooth Relic. Kandy is one of the few Sri Lanka cities whose traditions and culture have stood the test of time and remained undisturbed by European influence during the colonial era. The Temple of the Tooth Relic, mentioned previously, is situated right beside the Kandy lake, giving it a magical glow and beauty that engulfs the entire city.

1) Visit the famous cave temples in Dambulla, en route to Kandy
2) Consider a visit to a spice garden in Matale
3) Join devotees visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic

You follow up a day in Kandy, after immersing yourself in historical and traditional Sri Lankan culture, by traveling to the hilly town of Ella. Famous for its breathtaking views of blue mountains and emerald valleys of tea, Ella is a haven for a soul in search of true tranquility. You have a wide array of prospective excursions at your disposal, which could vary from relaxation to experiencing places of “Ramayana” legend, like the Ravana Ella. Cap off your two-night stay in Ella with a picnic lunch on your second day!

After your exciting wildlife excursion, you will begin a coastal road trip, heading westward to the popular resort town of Bentota. From a exploring the town’s vibrant and diverse cultural mix to taking advantage of the plethora of water activities this area is known for, like scuba diving, snorkeling, and many other water-based sports, Bentota is the perfect way to cap off your stay.

2) Visit the nearby Turtle Farm and watch the little hatchlings get released into the great ocean

Your final two days on the island will start off with a visit to Sri Lanka’s commercial capital and most cosmopolitan city, Colombo. Keep in mind that our reps will always be available to make sure all your questions and requirements are attended to. The official political and trade capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo is famous for its plethora of shopping arcades located all around the city and its suburbs, which will allow you to add even more tantalizing experiences to your vacation. As a hub of many ethnicities, with people from all creeds working together, Colombo’s vibrancy is one thing you certainly do not want to miss out on, nor is it something you will ever forget.
There are many things to do in Colombo, but, here are a few we think you should try out:
1) A city tour of Colombo – check out the best sites
2) Shopping at one of the many arcades for a fusion of both local and international items
3) Enjoy a relaxing full-body massage at one of the countries renowned ayurvedic spas in the region

Your last day on the island starts off with a delicious breakfast, followed by a little relaxation time before your transport arrives to take you to the airport – on time to catch your flight back home. Please note that you will have to be at the airport at least 3 hours prior to when your flight is scheduled to depart.
