Haputale enjoys a cool climate year-round, thanks to its high elevation. Temperatures usually range between 15°C to 25°C, making it a pleasant escape from the heat of the lowlands. The best time to visit is during the dry months of March to April and October to November when the weather is clear, and the views are spectacular.

Haputale is located in the Uva Province of Sri Lanka, approximately 200 km east of Colombo. It’s perched on a ridge with the southern plains sprawling out beneath it. The town is well-connected by both road and rail, making it accessible yet blissfully isolated. Haputale’s location offers dramatic views on either side of the ridge, especially during sunrise and sunset.
